There are myriad ways up Brim Fell and all have great scenic interest. From the east, approaches from Coniston village reveal the region’s copper mining heritage, with quarries and industrial remnants dotted about the landscape. Many routes discover high mountain tarns, such as the spectacular Levers Water or Low Water. There’s plenty of accommodation on the Coniston side.
Less trodden are approaches from the Duddon Valley and these reveal the fell’s quieter aspect. These routes usually bring you to Goat’s Hawse, the path junction between Dow Crag, Coniston Old Man and Brim Fell.
