Starts at the Gordon Arms with a steady gradient which takes you up through a beautiful valley. Lovely sweeping descent to Innerleithen.

The 'worst' bit heading North is immediately after the right hand bend 800m from Gordon arms. Once you cross the first cattlegrid it's a fabulous gentle very scenic climb. The reward is a 6km downhill to Traquair but take care passing the farm and going through Kirkhouse.
