Above the western shore of Lough Swilly lies this high viewpoint with an open panorama over the fjord bay. Directly opposite, you can see Fort Dunree, built on a rocky cape that guarded the entrance to the bay. Below you lies the coastline of Knockalla, with steep slopes descending into the water. The combination of height, water, and military history makes this a striking point along the route between Rathmullan and Portsalon.
