The historic Coad graveyard is located on the Iveragh Peninsula in County Kerry, right on a stunning, remote section of the Kerry Way. The site comprises an old and a new graveyard section and is surrounded by ancient cross-slabs and a holy well; it also offers panoramic views of Coad Mountain and Kenmare Bay. The old graveyard is an early Christian site, housing the shrine of Saint Chrócháin and an ancient holy tree (or bush).
