Hiking

Peveril Point at the southern edge of Swanage Bay is made from a resistant shale and limestone rather than the clay to the north. The promontory formed is a good lookout point which is now used by the coastguard. The Swanage lifeboat station is on the northern side.

really worth continuing along the the swcp to Peverill point rather. than taking a short cut to cut this off
