Hiking

The Ballachulish Slate Quarry was established in 1692 and produced tons of material for roofs in the area. The peak was in the 18th century, but quarrying stopped in 1955 for good. Today you can stroll and hike through a nice park.

Hiking

Mining in the former slate quarry was stopped in 1955 and the area was converted into a park. You can now go for a nice walk here.
