Hiking

Quaint little village with a renowned pub and several hiking trails leading from it. Well worth the visit. Few parking options, so it's better to walk from Rosthwaite.

Hiking

Stonethwaite has a few parking spots near the phone box in the village, but these get taken up quickly in the morning. There is lots of roadside parking (on the grass) on the way into the village. A pretty little hamlet with a welcoming pub at the end of a day's hiking. Lots of routes in this area, and on a hot day the pools in the Langstrath are very inviting but still cold.
