This moderate route spans 1.5 miles (2.3 km) and involves a gentle elevation gain of 40 feet (12 metres), typically taking around 36 minutes to complete. As you wander, you will find yourself surrounded by native trees like oak, ash, and beech, with the forest floor bursting with bluebells and primroses during spring and summer. Keep an eye out for the impressive ancient oak tree, estimated to be over 300 years old, which you will encounter about 0.3 miles (0.5 km) into your journey.

When planning your visit, be aware that the trail can become quite muddy, especially following rainfall, so sturdy hiking boots are highly recommended to ensure a comfortable experience. While the elevation changes are minimal, the uneven terrain contributes to its moderate difficulty rating. You will generally find parking available near the trailhead, making access straightforward for your woodland adventure.
