Embark on the easy Porthdinllaen Marine Trail, a coastal hike offering stunning views of the Irish Sea. You will cover 3.8 miles (6.1 km) with a gentle elevation gain of 190 feet (58 metres), making it perfect for a relaxed outing. The route takes about 1 hour and 36 minutes to complete, guiding you past rugged cliffs and golden beaches. A highlight is the charming fishing village of Porthdinllaen, with its unique stout stone houses right by the water. Keep an eye out for grey seals basking on the rocks as you explore this scenic path.

To begin your hike, head to the car park at Morfa Nefyn, which serves as the usual starting point for the Porthdinllaen Marine Trail. Be prepared for varying terrain, as some parts of the coastal path can be muddy, and you will encounter rocky sections. Therefore, wearing appropriate footwear is highly recommended for comfort and safety. If your plan includes returning along Morfa Nefyn beach, remember to check the tide times in advance to ensure a safe and enjoyable walk.

This trail is nestled within the beautiful Llŷn Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offering a true escape into nature. Beyond the natural beauty, you will pass the famous Ty Coch Inn, a historic pub located directly on the beach, providing a unique stop along your journey. The clear waters around Porthdinllaen are part of a protected marine environment, highlighting the area's ecological significance and making it a special place to visit.
