Hiking
Just a minute's walk from Kendal's main thoroughfare is the serene River Kent. A stroll along the river is glorious at any time of day, whether you're just looking for a bit of peace and quiet or a spot of birdwatching. There's plenty of crossings too, making a riverside loop perfectly feasible.

Hiking
A very nice stretch of river in the centre of Kendal. Interesting birdlife as well with Wagtails and waterfowl.
