Dedham Vale is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that straddles the Essex-Suffolk border. The River Stour meanders through the valley, passing green rolling farmland and yellow fields of rapeseed.

Artist John Constable featured the valley in many of his paintings, so much so that the area is often referred to as Constable Country. You can view some of his Dedham Vale paintings at the V&A Museum in London.
