Caernarfon's Victoria Dock was built in the 1800s to receive timber sailed over from Scandinavia. It wasn't busy for long though, as the arrival of the railway somewhat undermined its use.

Coming under council ownership in the 90s, the marina was rejuvenated and is now a wonderful place for visiting sailors as well as a pretty feature of Caernarfon itself.
