The Schoolhouse Bothy was once used as a school up until the 1930s. Around 20 children would have been taught here during the 1920s and it's thought that the teacher would have lived on site. These days, it's a wilderness shelter managed and maintained by the MBA (Mountain Bothies Association). However, the right hand room has been restored as a classroom – it even has a blackboard.
