    Road cycling

Not overly busy (except in peak summer), and traffic is usually pretty low. Well worth a stop to walk up the bank for the view over the sea. It can be pretty windy at times (sometimes in an unfavourable direction if you don't look at the forecast before setting out on your route), so prepare yourself for some gusty crosswinds at times.

You can't actually see the beach from the road, so you'll have to stop, climb the tide embankment and sit on the top or venture down onto the pebbles of the beach itself. The best Turneresque sunsets happen here.

Debatable, Kents dirtiest swimming spot. Sited between effluent outlet to the left and Oyster farm to the right. Great views over Harty.

Embark on a moderate road cycling journey with the Faversham and Seasalter loop from Warden. This route spans 66.3 miles (106.7 km) and involves a total elevation gain of 2186 feet (666 metres), taking approximately 4 hours and 31 minutes to complete. You'll experience varied terrain, from open skies to coastal stretches, offering a dynamic ride. As you approach Seasalter Beach, the views open up to the expansive sea and reed beds. Keep an eye out for the Oare Marshes, a haven for diverse birdlife, adding a natural element to your ride.

Before you set out, be aware that some sections of this route might present varied terrain, including unpaved parts that could be challenging for a racebike. You might need to dismount and push your bike through these stretches. The coastal areas are also known for strong, gusty crosswinds, so checking the weather forecast before you depart is highly recommended. Plan your start time to account for the estimated duration and daylight hours.

This loop offers more than just a workout; it provides glimpses of tidal creeks and the unique ecosystem of the Oare Marshes. Consider a stop to climb the tide embankment for a full view of the beach, especially if you are riding towards sunset. The route is a popular choice for cyclists looking to combine a good distance with natural scenery and coastal charm in the region.
