Cycling

This is a great bit of canal towpath riding. There are pubs along the way for refreshments. It is probably best ridden when it's dry as most of it is just dirt and grass but with some sections of gravel and cobbles but in the dry it's very firm. Take care when passing under bridges as there are big stone slabs that could be dodgy when wet. The best thing about this canal are the great views across the Cheshire plain and some really nice spots to just sit and take in the air,peace and quiet.
