The route gains 1194 feet (364 metres) in elevation and typically takes about 4 hours and 2 minutes to complete. As you cycle, you'll pass the notable Ulverston and Hoad Monument, enjoying varied landscapes from charming villages to ancient farmlands.
This loop is largely considered relatively flat, making it a good choice if you are new to cycle touring. Much of the route utilizes quiet roads and dedicated cycle paths, providing a pleasant ride. However, be aware that you might encounter some short sections on busier roads. Any type of bike is generally suitable for the paved surfaces and limited hills you will encounter.
Beyond the coastal views, the route meanders through marshy nature reserves, offering glimpses of the distant Lake District fells.
