    Cowes is a pretty town with a rich Royal heritage. The vibrant streets are filled with places for food and drink, shops, galleries, and museums. Queen Victoria and Prince Albert were very fond of this area and had their rural retreat, Osborne House, built on the edge of town. The maritime gateway to the Isle of Wight, Cowes is well-known for sailing and ship building.
